Spinner OnItemSelectedListener - Differentiating between user selection and initialization
I've seen this posted before but haven't seen an answer yet. The OnItemSelectedListener event handler gets called both when a spinner is initialized, and when a user physically clicks the spinner control. Is is possible to determine if an event was triggered by a user selection somehow? Or is there another way to handle spinner user selections?

Assuming it is only called once when initialized, and it is initialized before the user can make choice, you could use a boolean flag to distinguish between the two cases. Just be sure to reset the flag if you pop in a new adapter.

thanks Mark but how do i convert the int "r.raw.mysound" into a file? How do i set the sdcard as the destination? Can i rename the file that I copy as I copy it? I appreciate all the help you can give me. I keep re reading the sdk but Im just not making since of this.

Hi to all... Can any help me that, How can i change the file permission that is present in the SDCARD... Normally when i insert a file to SDCARD, file has read and write permission, I want to change the permission that is read write and execute.. Is it possible to change the permission....?
